ACT’s flagship production, showcasing socially conscious monologues dealing with race, politics, and gender issues. Since 2017, LYMBYR has been performed at the Megaphone in Northwest Gardens, the African American Research Library and Cultural Center, the Broward Film Industry Symposium, and on BlogTalkRadio.

Let Your Monologue
Be Your Resistance
Actor’s Cultural Theatre invites you to submit a video recording of you performing a socially conscious monologue for our 5th “Let Your Monologue Be Your Resistance” monologue showcase to be streamed online.
Deadline to submit: September 14, 2021
Selected performances streamed: September 18, 2021 11:30am on YouTube and Facebook
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
*Monologue should be from a Stage Play (check with director for exceptions)
*Monologue should deal with some social issue that involves race, gender, or politics.
*Submissions will be selected based on the following criteria:
Quality of Performance and Video & Sound Quality
*Monologue should be approximately 2 minutes, give or take.
*Please no profanity as per Broward Cultural Division and our partners.
*Files should be submitted no later than September 14.
*Preference will be given to Broward County actors followed by South Florida actors,
but any Florida resident may audition.
